Dr. Meyer is our home town favorite who grew up in Gilbert, AZ. He is passionate about equine sports medicine and his family. He graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences with a bacholers degree in microbiology and his masters degree in animal anatomy and neurobiology with his doctorate in veterinary medicine. He did his externships in sports medicine and surgery in Southern Australia. His professional interests include ophthalmology, surgery and anesthesia. Dr Scott has had the opportunity to work on some elite race horses such as American Pharoah. In his free time he enjoys fly fishing, outdoors, golf and spending time with his growing family.
Rosa grew up in Southern California and is very passionate about horses and small furry creatures. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician and Mt San Antonio College graduate. Rosa has been in the veterinary industry for 17 years and over those years she has worked in equine sports medicine, emergency and small animal. She was the lead technician in the departments of surgery and radiology at Santa Anita and Delmar race tracks. She then joined the College of Veterinary Medicine teaching hospital at Western University of Health Sciences. Today, she is proud to be a part of Desert Mountain Equine. Rosa's interest include art, traveling, gardening and dance.
Maegan is originally from Apache Junction but has lived in San Tan Valley for the last 12 years. Maegan has an Associates Degree in Animal Science and hopes to one day become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She Started working at Desert Mountain Equine in October 2017. Maegan's passion is going to the dunes and camping.
Makenna is originally from Queen Creek Arizona. She has a passion for equine behavior and enjoys training wild mustangs. Makenna's interest include horseback riding, literature and baking.
Jennie is originally from Upstate New York but has lived in the Queen Creek area since 2003. Jennie joined Desert Mountain Equine in November 2018 and comes from a background in administration. She has a love for the outdoors and all animals, specially horses. She enjoys spending time with her family and hopes to one day become a vet tech.
